When the barbecue grills have cooled off and the ice in the cooler has melted, it’s time to head out to find the best fireworks in Charlotte. Read on for a list of where you can ooh and aah with the best of ‘em.

This beloved amusement park is truly where the Carolinas come together and they put on one amazing fireworks show. There’s no extra cost associated with getting a July 4th ticket to Carowinds— and the park is open an hour later than normal. Expect crowds but also expect incredible fireworks, patriotic music, and roller coaster thrills. The show starts at 9:30.

Harrisburg Park

For such a small suburb of Charlotte, Harrisburg puts on an absolutely huge display. After a day of carnival rides, live music, and fair food, settle in for a full hour and a half of fireworks. It’s recommended that you arrive early in the day to secure a prime lawn spot. Bring your blankets, your lawn chairs, and the whole family for a perfect July 4th!

BB&T Ballpark

Perhaps one of the most spectacular views in Charlotte is the SkyShow performance. Imagine this: cheering on our Charlotte Knights baseball team and then enjoying a massive firework show set against the iconic Charlotte skyline. Tickets are still available for this great event, though you can also set up camp in any of the surrounding parks
